Looking after the athlete's gait to prevent injury and improve performance, according to the demands of each sport and level.
We look after the gait of every kind of athlete, according to the particular demands of the sport, the level and the person.
Feet deserve attention throughout life. It is worth remembering that they take between two and four times your body weight with every step. In anyone who trains, that matters more, because it is a movement repeated thousands of times.
If the way you load the foot is wrong, it is not only the feet that suffer. The joint most likely to pay for a faulty gait is the knee, and many of the muscles that attach along the leg also attach into the foot.
Preventing injury and improving performance
We have the technology to establish precisely whether an athlete’s gait is related to a current injury or to one waiting to happen.
The assessment is best done before the injury appears. It is worth having for anyone taking up a sport regularly and, needless to say, for anyone training hard or competing.
Treatment with custom orthotics is designed with our own software, which chooses a different thickness for each zone of the orthotic and for each patient rather than working with standard thicknesses. Manufacture is robotised and precise, which is what allows each orthotic to be given the exact elasticity the athlete needs.
