Podoactiva is an international network of podiatry and biomechanics centres. The way it works starts from a simple idea: measure before you treat. That is why every patient has a full biomechanical assessment before any treatment begins.
The company runs more than 45 clinics of its own in Spain, Italy, Andorra, Mexico, Ecuador and Bolivia. The network is completed by more than 200 podiatry units in 14 countries.
In the United Kingdom, Podoactiva is present through nine units hosted in podiatry and physiotherapy practices, each working with the company’s patented technology and with professionals trained in its protocols.
Research from the head office
Podoactiva's head office is at the Walqa Technology Park in Huesca, Spain. Research, engineering, design and manufacturing sit together on one site, which is what allows the company to control the whole process and to develop personalised treatments to its own standards.
The same site is home to Podoactiva Sportech, the largest outdoor biomechanics laboratory in the world: a facility built to analyse movement and sporting performance in real conditions.
Assessment outside the laboratory
Sportech makes it possible to take biomechanical assessment out of the traditional laboratory and analyse an athlete on different surfaces, in situations close to the ones they actually compete in. Specialists in podiatry, biomechanics, medicine, engineering and sports performance work on it together.
